SHOT 2024: Foxtrot Mike Products Enhanced Rifle System

“Enhance” can mean to improve the quality and even value of an item. When it comes to Foxtrot Mike Products’ Enhanced Rifle System (E.R.S.), it certainly does all that and more. Two key components comprise the E.R.S: the One-Piece Barrel and Heavy Duty Bolt. Foxtrot Mike Products engineered these parts for simplicity, durability, and performance for AR-pattern rifles.

The One-Piece Barrel is integrated with a Dead Air Keymo Brake, gas block with a 45-degree gas port, and barrel extension into a single piece of 41V50 steel. The larger barrel extension diameter also eliminates truncated M4 feed ramps, which enhances feeding reliability. That innovative manufacturing process then ensures improved concentricity when compared to traditional barrel manufacturing techniques. It also includes seven fewer parts than a standard AR-style barrel assembly, which further increases the simplicity and reliability.

The core of Foxtrot Mike Products’ E.R.S. is their One-Piece Barrel and Heavy Duty Bolt.

The integrated Dead Air Keymo Brake provides superior fit and finish, while eliminating the need for traditional pin and weld methods. The 45-degree gas port optimizes gas flow, making it ideal for suppressed use. Moreover, the one-piece barrel, when combined with a 45-degree gas port, can significantly reduce the thermal load under the handguard. As well, this is a substantial advantage when using a suppressor.

The Foxtrot Mike Products Extreme Duty Bolt can also extend the service life of Mil-Spec 5.56x45mm bolts. By eliminating thin cross-sections and incorporating a larger bolt head, the bolt strength increases greatly in critical areas. In addition, upper receiver advancements include a thermal-interference fit. The upper and one-piece barrel are heated and pressed together during assembly. This improves accuracy and eliminates the need for bedding or accurizing.

Enhanced also doesn’t have to mean “more.” Coincidentally, the core of Foxtrot Mike Products’ design philosophy is simplicity. This has resulted in 15 fewer parts compared to a traditional AR-style firearm. In addition to simplifying the assembly, it can also mitigate potential failure modes.

Four of FoxTrot Mike Products’ bufferless firearms will integrate the Enhanced Rifle System: the Mike-Adaptive Rifle, Mike-15 Gen 2 E.R.S, Mike-47 Gen 2 E.R.S, and Global Ordnance Monolith. These firearms will be at Foxtrot Mikes’ booth (#15023) for SHOT Show 2024.
