Savage Arms Releases Upgraded AXIS Line of Rifles

Savage Arms has released the newly updated AXIS family of rifles. Building off the success of the original line released over a decade ago, the new AXIS II line of rifles matches the affordability of the original with updated features fit for all shooters and hunters.

The AXIS family of rifles includes five models that are new or have been updated, giving a little something for all enthusiasts. “AXIS set the bar for affordability and accuracy in regards to rifles,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “AXIS is built for everyone from novices to experts. We have the right rifle for anyone with options that include wood, camo, compact, left hand, multiple colors, and just about every combination within that mix, all with unmatched accuracy and performance, right out of the box.”

The first rifle in the updated family is the AXIS XP, which features new ergonomics and an updated bolt handle to help with user control and comfort. The rifle delivers accuracy with precision button-rifled barrels, thread-in head spacing, and a factory-installed, bore-sighted 3-9×40 scope. Its MSRP is $479.

The second rifle is the AXIS II, which includes the features of the XP model with a couple of extras. One such extra is the adjustable AccuTrigger for a customizable experience and the three choices for weapon color: OD Green, Gray, or FDE. The AXIS II has an MSRP of $489.

The third rifle is the AXIS II XP, which builds on the original AXIS XP and AXIS II but with a few extra features. These include the AccuTrigger trigger, the factory-installed 3-9×40 scope with multi-coated lenses and tool-less adjustments, and different stock color options. The AXIS II XP differs from the original in that it is available in compact models and left-hand-control models. The AXIS II XP rifle is also available in a myriad of different calibers and has an MSRP of $549.

The fourth rifle model is the AXIS II XP Hardwood. This model has enhanced ergonomics in the hardwood stock, including laser-cut stippling on the pistol grip and forend for better manipulation in any condition. It offers the classic looks of a hunting rifle with modern features in the AXIS family, like the factory-mounted 3-9×40 scope with all its features. The AXIS II XP HARDWOOD has an MSRP of $689.

The last model in the AXIS family is the AXIS II PRO, and it is the ultimate model from the line. It takes all the new and updated features of the line of rifles and puts them into one beautiful package, complete with a Savage camouflage Woodland or Western pattern. The rifle is complete with Cerakote finishes for both color schemes and will withstand the test of time. The rifle has options for a threaded barrel and a one-piece rail to take it to the next level. The AXIS II PRO has an MSRP of $599.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
