Safariland IWB Holsters: Optics-Ready Schema

Finding the right holster for your body shape and specific needs can be a challenge. Matters tend to be simplified by going to a trusted holster maker for gear, and that’s where Safariland comes in. If you’re in the market for an inside the waistband (IWB) holster, the Safariland Schema is an optics-ready model that just might be exactly what you need.

Safariland provides details of the IWB Schema:

Schema is an optics-ready minimalist holster designed for subcompact firearms. As the namesake implies, the skeletonized outline of the holster frame has a smaller footprint than traditional IWB offerings to optimize concealability. This new model offers superior functionality with a reinforced mouth, allowing for seamless firearm holstering while the holster is worn. The firearm-specific design creates an exacting fit, which is further secured by Schema’s passive trigger guard retention.

Eric Gasvoda, VP/GM of Duty Gear for Safariland, said:

Safariland is thoughtfully expanding on our concealment line to offer consumers unparalleled quality and innovation they’ve come to expect from the brand. Schema is the beginning of the revitalization of our EDC holster line, and I can’t wait to get it into the hands of our customers.

This holster is designed to give users the most minimalist, yet secure, IWB holster possible. It’s cut to be compatible with optics and created with a streamlined yet durable shape. Not only can the Schema be adjusted for cant but it can also be adjusted vertically so ride height can be customized to the specific user.

Practicing proper concealed carry starts not with the gun but with the holster. Your holster needs to provide retention and keep the gun hidden on your body in the exact spot you expect it to be. For an IWB holster, those features remain vital; for the Safariland Schema, it’s a given. This holster is made with the specific needs of concealed carriers in mind. Not only are its features user friendly but it’s made from durable material capable of standing up to daily wear.
