Rock River Arms Operator DMR: Dedicated Use Rifles

Rifles kept on hand for duty use, or really any form of serious use, must be built according to exacting standards. A solid duty rifle is reliable, holds up to heavy use, and delivers accurate hits on target. Rock River Arms knows these things, and so they’ve come up with their Operator DMR line. The Rock River Arms Operator DMR family of rifles includes six guns chambered in 308 Winchester or 223 Remington and is designed for serious shooters looking for the ideal defensive long gun.

Rock River Arms is launching its Operator DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) series of long guns. Four models chambered for 308 Winchester and two models chambered in 5.56 NATO. Both chamber variants are made with an eye for defensive and tactical applications. These rifles are made for hard use and made so they’re easy to add accessories to as needed.

According to the gun maker, the guns chambered in 308 Win are easily distinguishable by barrel length. Two models feature 20-inch chrome-lined barrels and have various components in common, including a low-profile gas block, mid-length gas system, RRA two-stage Ultra Match trigger, and 17-inch lightweight free-float M-LOK rail handguard. Other shared features include a BCM SOPMOD buttstock, Magpul Pro Series MBUS flip-up sights, QD mount, five-slot rail assemblies, and Hogue grip.

There is also an Operator DMR Enhanced model made for shooters looking for even greater functionality. Among other features, this model has a SilencerCo Chimera 300 suppressor. It also has an additional RRA 3-slot rail assembly and an ARCA Swiss Rail Adapter. Suppressed shooting is a fantastic way to protect your hearing and lessen your audible footprint while hunting or at the range.

Two Operator DMR models chambered in 5.56 NATO are also available. Both models use the RRA forged LAR-15M lower and forged A4 upper receivers for durability and fitment. Shared features of these rifles include the RRA two-stage Ultra Match trigger group, A2 flash hider, carbine-length gas system, low-profile gas block, and Magpul Pro Series MBUS flip-up sights. The guns also have a BCM SOPMOD buttstock, 5-slot rail assembly, QD mount, and Hogue grip. Barrel and handguard configurations do vary.

One 5.56 NATO Operator DMR, the OP1505, has a 20-inch chrome-lined barrel with a 1 in 7 twist rate and a 17-inch M-LOK handguard. The other model, the OP1510, has a 16-inch chrome-lined barrel with a 1 in 9 twist rate and a 13-inch lightweight handguard. Both models have full-length Picatinny rails for optics and M-LOK compatible handguards for the easy addition of lights and lasers.

MSRP for the Rock River Arms Operator DMR line of rifles is dependent on caliber and specific model.
