Q LLC has updated its line of Fix firearms, to include the Mini Fix SD version. This is an integrally suppressed version of the Mini Fix that is only available in an SBR (short-barreled rifle) form with a fully adjustable fixed stock.
The Mini Fix SD from Q has a stainless steel tapered profile 300 BLK barrel that is threaded 5/8×24 with a 1:5” twist rate. With a barrel length of 8” and suppressor, this is a two-tax-stamp firearm. But don’t be dismayed by the short length of the barrel and suppressor. The gun’s overall length is 34.95” with the stock fully extended or 33.75” open, and just 24.13” when the stock is folded. The firearm also boasts a full-length Picatinny top rail for all the accessories the shooter could want.
The full-length free floating Q-Sert handguard helps keeps the shooter’s hands safe but also mitigates thermal signatures and reduces mirage, according to Q. The handguard comes with the Kickstand bipod standard and sits flush on the underside. The Mini Fix SD has a 2-stage match trigger and a 45° short throw bolt handle among other AR-style controls. The SBR is compatible with M4/AR magazines for ease of use.
The suppressor is 8” long and constructed entirely from titanium, has an outside diameter of 1.75”. With an overall weight of 14 ounces, it doesn’t add much to the overall package weight of 5 lbs 12 oz. The suppressor is PVD coated and comes with Q’s Quickie Fast-Attach mechanism that attaches to the Cherry Bomb muzzle brake on the barrel.
The Q LLC Mini Fix SD is a lightweight SBR in 300BLK and is sure to be a fun gun to shoot. It has an MSRP of $3,999.
