From CZ regarding their new Scorpion 3+ Pistol:

“In 2014 CZ raised the bar with the release of the CZ Scorpion EVO 3. Building on our most popular firearm, the CZ Scorpion 3+ is an enhanced Scorpion model featuring upgrades most requested by our customers.  With backwards compatible magazines, an ambidextrous mag release and bolt catch, improved sights and upgraded grip ergonomics the Scorpion 3 + offers the operator an exceptional shooting experience on the range, as well as confidence and security at home.”

In addition, they stated “Ambidextrous controls are the gold standard in modern firearm design. In addition to the ambi safety found on the EVO 3, the Scorpion 3+ includes an ambidextrous bolt catch allowing for the user to operate it left or right-handed. The new AR-style mag release is accessible on both sides. The operation of the 3+ is now super intuitive – essential in high-stress situations!”

Upgrades include the M-LOK handguard being upgraded from aluminum to polymer and a slimmer upper receiver. Both changes improve ergonomics and make longer shooting sessions more comfortable because the polymer of the gun’s handguard will reduce how much heat the shooter feels during live-fire. According to the manufacturer, the new receiver design also allows for greater customization and additional accessory use.

In addition, the magwell has been resized and redesigned with more real estate available on the handguard for larger hands. Also updated are the adjustable four aperture aluminum sights which no provide a lower 1/3 co-witness with red dot sights.

Even the magazine has been upgraded to improve purchase and reduce risk of slippage during reloads. 20-round and 30-round options are available. There is also a locking window on the mag body to accommodate the magazine release, which has been updated to an AR-style release. Best of all, the new Scorpion 3+ magazines are compatible with prior generations of the model line.
