Magpul Drum Mag Options — Got Ammo?

Capacity is almost always a detail gun owners pay close attention to when choosing guns, whether for range use or carry. The good news is, if your chosen firearm doesn’t have the capacity you prefer, there are various extended magazines on the market for almost everything. Of course, those mags might not boost your capacity quite as much as you want, and that’s where the Magpul drum mag comes in.

Be honest. Sometimes, you just want to mag dump, and that requires a bigger magazine. Magpul drum magazines don’t only make that possible, they make it fun. After all, you want a high-quality magazines for this purpose (and all purposes, considering your gun’s magazine is typically its first failure point).  Magpul makes it happen with an average of 50 rounds per drum mag.

It’s true that using drum magazines adds weight to your gun, which can be a challenge especially with use on handguns, but they still have solid applications. Aside from the mag dumping possibilities, these mags do have training applications. For example, using a larger-capacity magazine means you can train with higher round counts and fewer mag changes, adjust to different weight and balance on your gun, and go through courses of fire steadily with no need to pause. If you’re a PCC shooter that means going through stages on a single magazine, when allowed, at least on your own time for fun.

Magpul designs and produces these drum magazines for superior quality, reliability, and to stand up to hard use. They’re easy to maintain and made to maintain their consistent function even after being stored loaded for significant lengths of time. And thanks to the viewing window that comes standard, you can do a visual check while they’re in use to check how many rounds you have left.

All magazines are manufactured in black. Standard capacity is 50 rounds although the AR-15 compatible model holds 60 rounds of ammunition.

MSRP starts at $124.95 and varies by model.
