High Speed Gear Core Plate Carrier: Cummerbund Ready

Plate carriers are designed to give the wearer some degree of protection against specific calibers of bullets. The High Speed Gear Core Plate Carrier is a popular design that’s trusted by many, but there are those who would like an extra layer of protection on their sides. This is where the Core Side Plate Carrier Cummerbund comes in because it gives the wearer the ability to add on to their existing plate carrier for even greater coverage.

The Core Side Plate Cummerbund integrates with the Core Plate Carrier, providing four columns of MOLLE attachment area on the sides of the torso, and holds hard side plates for added protection. The cummerbund is built from lightweight durable laser-cut laminate. Webbing straps with integrated elastic allow for a comfortable, precise fit. Side-release buckles allow for quick don/doff.

This cummerbund accessory has an integral pocket for additional plates and also offers four columns of MOLLE for whatever the user would like to add to their gear. It has a trio of straps and a pair of side-located quick-release buckles so it can be removed fast and easily. That means not only does the Core Side Plate Carrier Cummerbund make it possible to add hard plates, but it also increases real estate for anything that can be mounted on MOLLE.

It’s a wise idea to have vital organs and vulnerable spots covered. The gap at the side of plate carriers is often referenced by instructors and trainers as a risk due to the frequent need to angle your body while maneuvering or firing. This particular cummerbund is designed to fit most standard hard plates sized either 6×6″ or 6×8″. And, of course, it’s nice to be able to choose where you’d like to attach pieces of your kit to your MOLLE.
