5 Items Every AR-15 Owner Wants More of | A Procrastinators Last Minute Gift Guide

Was it procrastination, or something worse that kept you from getting your Christmas shopping done in a timely manner? Both certainly suck, but it’s okay. We are here to guide you and provide you with a last-minute gun gift guide for the shooter in your life.

But act fast. Last minute shipping options are available, but not for long.

Magazine Loaders

Let’s start with the best loader for AR mags. If you really want to impress that shooter in your life, male or female, this is it. The Mag Pump. It is not incredibly expensive, at least not once you realize how incredibly efficient it is. This is a serious loader, built to last, and it is as easy to use as it is robust.

Mag Pump Is So Heavenly

There are a few moments in my life where I can say it was truly changed. The day I graduated boot camp, the day my son was born and the day I got my Maglula loader for my Colt SMG mags. Colt SMG mags are a pain, literally, and my Maglula loader made life so much sweeter.

Maglula is not the only one though and you can choose from a ton of different magazine loaders from the ETS C.A.M. loaders to the ultimate Mag Pump. All of them make life easier, save wear and tear on your thumbs, and are sure to impress.

Optics or Sights

Who doesn’t love optics? A good scope or red dot optic is always a great gun gift for shooters. If your shooter is a hardcore collector he or she likely has plenty of room in their collection for another optic. On the affordable side, Holosun optics are solid little red dots, as are Weaver scopes when it comes to variable optics.

Optics are Amazing

Sights are another must have. If your shooter has an AR then Magpul has you covered with the MBUS standard sights as well as offset sights for use with an optic. Tech sights are an awesome addition to any Ruger 10/22 and any Trijicon makes some amazing night sights for basically every major handgun on the market.

Magazines and Ammo

This one is a big duh, and one of the easiest to buy for shooters if you seriously have no clue what they need or want. There is no such thing as too many magazines or too much ammo. All you have to do is find out what type of gun they own and what caliber they shoot. Once you figure that out you’ll have no problem finding the right magazines and ammunition. It should go without saying that if you need mags we have you covered, from the common AR and AK series to Glocks, and CZs as well as the oddball shotgun magazines.

You always need more magazines

Cleaning Gear

Cleaning gear is another gun gift when you have absolutely no idea about guns. You don’t know calibers, or the difference between a magazine and clip, or why some rounds are metric and others are in freedom units. It’s okay though. Cleaning gear is quite handy and most shooters go through it. Brushes wear out, oil runs out and cleaning rods get lost. A good gun cleaning kit is an always welcome gift.
