Galco Coachella Holster Waistpack: Form and Function

Daily carry rigs and a sense of style can be mutually exclusive concepts. But Galco’s new Coachella Holster Waistpack offers a safe and very comfortable way to carry a compact auto or small-frame revolver with complete discretion without sacrificing elegance and style.

Taking the name from the valley in the Colorado Desert of Southern California – known for music and arts festivals – the Coachella is meant as a one-of-a-kind firearm accessory. Each is individually made by hand, reflecting custom nuances not usually seen in manufactured goods today. The exterior is made of soft black Vachetta full-grain drum-dyed leather, while the Coachella uses nickel-plated, solid-brass hardware: grommets, buckle, leather lacing beads, and barrels. Each also features a unique inlaid gemstone cabochon as the centerpiece of the pack’s decorative exterior artwork, with gemstone measuring approximately 1.5 inches by 1.25 inches and varies from individual pack to individual pack.

Form meets function with Galco’s new Coachella Holster Waistpack.

While stylish, the holster waistpack is as much about function as form. It is made from a gun-specific hybrid Kydex/leather plate that snaps into the pack’s dedicated gun pocket for small-frame revolvers and the Glock 43 series pistols. A smaller, zippered pocket is positioned above and behind the main gun pocket, while a third, open-top slot pocket rides behind the gun pocket against the wearer’s body.

The holster/plate may also be unsnapped and completely removed from the Coachella Holster Waistpack.

The rigid Kydex holster pocket further ensures fast draw and easy holstering while facilitating a full firing grip. The holster/plate may also be unsnapped and completely removed, allowing the pack to be used as a conventional general-purpose/non-gun waistpack, perfect for those music and art festivals.

The Coachella Holster Waistpack is available now in two waist sizes to accommodate most gun carriers. MSRP: $575.00.
