B&T USA awarded Two Key Contracts

Tampa-based B&T USA has been awarded two key military contracts – one domestic, one foreign.

The US Air Force has chosen the B&T APC9K PRO as its new ultra-compact weapon systems for specialized service and close personal protection use within the branch.

“B&T is honored to have our APC9K PRO selected by the United States Air Force. We’re pleased to know that specially trained Airmen will be equipped with the finest equipment available to not only ensure their personal safety during challenging assignments, but contribute to the overall success of their mission,” stated Jon Scott, Vice President of Sales, B&T USA.

The US Air Force has chosen the B&T APC9K PRO as its new ultra-compact weapon systems for specialized service and close personal protection use.

The United States Air Force is the second branch of service to purchase APC9K PRO sub-compact weapon systems after identifying an operational need for a highly concealable, sub-machine gun. At less than 15-inches in length, the APC9K is the most compact version of the APC9 PRO line, based on a closed-bolt blow-back system.

It’s got plenty of features too, like an ambidextrous non-reciprocating charging handle, collapsible shoulder stock, removable M4 compatible grip, and Magpul M-Lok accessory slots on the forend. This gun is optimized for low visibility carriage and discreet deployment; use in and around vehicles, and within confined spaces — all while delivering unsurpassed accuracy, controllability, and ergonomics.

Even slung, the APC9 shows it is a true patrol and tactical rifle.

The Sao Paulo Brazil Military Police has also chosen B&T USA to provide its officers with the APC40 PRO submachine gun. With updates to the original APC series, the APC40 Pro has a hydraulic buffer system for reduced felt recoil and muzzle rise, dual auto-folding, non-reciprocating and ambidextrous charging handles, improved lower receiver ergonomics, a removable M4-style grip, and M-Lok accessory slots.

Chambered in .40, the APC40 PRO’s caliber allows cross-compatibility with the department’s existing Glock inventory, providing common calibers for all officers. Both guns share the Glock magazines, as well, adding to ease of use on both platforms.

“After enduring a rigorous and thorough selection process, B&T is pleased that our APC40 PRO model has been chosen by the officers of the Sao Paulo Military Police,” stated Scott. “This contract also marks the company’s first exportation of US-produced APC40 models, built right here in Tampa, Florida — which, in and of itself, is very exciting for us.”

Easy to use, easy to handle, the APC9 fits that not-to-small-but-big-enough category of tactical firearms.

According to B&T’s website, “The APC PRO series brings a new level of performance and adaptability to the APC platform. All models feature a dual auto-folding, non-reciprocating charging handle, improved lower receiver ergonomics including a side positioned bolt hold open/release, removable M4 compatible grips, and Magpul M-Lok accessory slots.”

Along with B&T’s APC40 PRO models, Sao Paulo Military Police will also receive US-produced B&T tri-lug SMG suppressors, unique B&T 30-round Glock magazines, and Vicker’s Tactical VCAS two-point adjustable slings with U-Loop attachments by Blue Force Gear.
