Aero Precision has long been known for their ever-expanding line of AR platform rifles and parts. In fact, if you’re an AR builder, you’ve probably used quite a few Aero products to create your guns. But did you know the undeniable leader of manufacturing AR components is also in the business of complete bolt-action rifle builds? The Solus is the company’s complete bolt rifle, and it’s built to perform.

Aero Precision’s goal is to push the boundaries of manufacturing and challenge the status quo by constantly looking for new ways to use, develop, or evolve existing processes. With this Aero Precision bolt action rifle, we have done exactly that. This is one of the very first Aero Precision bolt action rifles, and though most of its components are for the moment, prototypes, it is finally ready to be seen by the world.
The heart of this build is the newly announced Aero Short Action. This action features an R700 pattern footprint and is compatible with Savage Small Shank pattern barrels as well as R700 pattern triggers. This compatibility set was chosen to give control to the builder without the traditional barriers to entry that are associated with a custom bolt rifle! The action is barreled with a Proof Carbon Fiber barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and is set an OD green Aero Precision Rifle Chassis. We’ve added a TBAC Bipod, a Leupold Mk5, and topped it off with the new Aero Precision Lahar-30 Suppressor.
The Solus is a short action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. It has a Picatinny rail over the receiver, making it easy to mount an optic to the gun, and the chassis has a Remington 700 footprint. The trigger is curved to fit precisely against the shooter’s trigger finger, enhancing accuracy, and the bolt is grooved for a sure grip during cycling. And to ensure a good fit for every user, the stock is fully adjustable. There’s even an adjustable cheek riser.
